The journey to discovering one's specific path is an odyssey of self-discovery, inspiration, and transformation. For many of us, it's a personal narrative that weaves through diverse experiences, challenges, and serendipitous encounters, ultimately culminating in a profound connection with the world of design.
Our story embodies a world of passion, curiosity, and relentless pursuit of aesthetic excellence. We both had pasts in which we were surrounded by apparel and shoes. I had a mens outerwear brand in Canada and Diana spent 12yrs at Nike. That spark of inspiration to do something in the realm of objects started as observations, conversations then debates. Travel has played an instrumental role in this project. We have been road tripping throughout Mexico constantly and now have visited 15 states in Mexico, those experiences helps us create new shapes, speak to other artisans and learn from new environments. We embrace a bit of technology also and have been 3D modeling some ideas and sending them to the artisans. The responsibility that comes with this project has been nice, we strive toward working with the communities, exchanging knowledge, giving fair wages and bringing useful items that aren't necessarily available in these regions. Apapacho World is constantly evolving and self improving and so are we. It has pushed our life focus in the right direction. Don't get me wrong it's not easy juggling all our projects but we are doing our best. We eagerly anticipate the creative adventures that lie ahead.
